If your running a steam bought version this method wont work,you have to edit the HTML file of the launcher in steam app common dragon age 2 data soeemthing..scro;; ha;fway dpwn the html opened in notepad or what ever text you use and in the line with firstrun check at the end after <true> type in arguments="-enabledeveloperconsole" with a space to the /> at the very end of that line..then it will work ingame,you wont see the type in field but you will hit ` and be unbale to move till you hit enter.
for better explaination google how to enable developer console in dragon age 2 steam version,someone made an understandable walkthrough,i am close to computer illetarate and made it work.
I don't mean to be rude but did you read me post? I clearly indicated the following things:
1) I am not playing a Steam purchased copy.
2) I performed many hours of research on this issue via Google and other resources.
3) I need a code master to reply, not a system novice.
