I just picked up DA Inquisitions for my Daughter, however, she is unable to install it from the disks. It is a huge download from Origins and we only have a small amount of transfer per month with our ISP. I need to be able to install it from the disks, and not the crappy Origins Download. Does anyone know how to do this??? It is completely moronic to sell you a full retail set of disks if you can't use the things...

Was having the same issue, and this is what fixed it for me.Find the Originsetup file on disc 1 in the D:\Autorun\Origin folder, not the Setup file in the main directory and double click that bad boy. For me it said that I would be installing an older version of Origin. I said Ok. After it reinstalled Origin, I put the install disc back in and hit autorun, then clicked the continue button. It opened Origin and logged me in and proceeded with the install from the disc.Hope that works for you. Looks like there may be multiple ways to fix it from the answers on this thread.

Allright folks i got a working solution : First go to dvd folder autorun, and start origin setup.exe to reinstall origin. Don´t ask why. Next DISABLE origin in your windows systrem tray. Then start autorun.exe. This in turn starts origin again, and the install from disk.Hurray, not even the tech support came up with this.I guess the programmer thought to himself that no sane person would voluntarily install origin and have the prog running , so he didnt mind if the autorun installer blocks if origin is already running.... Bloody ridiculous peace of trashware.

This is correct; I just confirmed this again; Uninstall Origin, Pop In Disc 1 from DAI; then Run Setup.exe; You'll be asked to re-download Origin. Do so, and install into a Folder where you would like it. Next, Proceed to Continue with Set up by Downloading from Disc.

I had to use Windows Explorer to manually start the autorun feature of the disk.
Insert disk 1, and if the autorun doesn't start (I got the popup asking what to do with the disk, as opposed to the autorun) then do the following:
Go to My Computer or press Windows-E on the keyboard which will do the same thing (at least it does on my machine).
Open the disk by double-clicking on it, listed for me under "removable media"
You should see something saying "autorun" which you need to click. I cannot confirm at this moment the exact thing to click since I have a different disk in my drive.
If this does not help, please provide more information such as any errors that occur. I hope you get this resolved quickly! I have slow DSL so I can certainly understand a download not being a suitable option, and this is the reason that I also ordered disks rather than a digital version.

I have the same problem and this solution does not help. I open the launcher and click continue and then nothing happens.

@jedicass Please right click the AutoRun file and select the option to run the program with Admin rights.

Game says my computer needs to be upgraded to Windows Visa or the like. I have Windows 7 Home Edition installed and have a "hot" system. Never had this happen with any games before.

Tried running as admin but Origin still wants to download it, it then times out with the message that it couldn't contact Dragon Age servers.

Have this issue also. Tried to install from disks, but the code listed as a digital version. Tried the download and I get the Vista 6 problem even though I have 8.1 OS. Also has not ever happened before.
