Unable to install Dragon Age Inquisition from the Disks...

I am majorly pissed. I have tried every single solution multiple times and nothing works! I'm using Windows 7 and Origin is on the C drive.

I couldn't even download the game instead of installing from my disks if I wanted to. When I click on the download button, I get the same error message -your download has been paused!!! Yet my download queue is empty!

I've tried copying the files manually as suggested, but I still get that darn error message. Won't anyone at EA fix this major bug?!

For me it said that I would be installing an older version of Origin. I said Ok.  After it reinstalled Origin, I put the install disc back in and hit autorun, then clicked the continue button.  It opened Origin and logged me in and proceeded with the install from the disc.

Hope that works for you.  Looks like there may be multiple ways to fix it from the answers on this thread.

Well, what do ya do if you are trying to install another disk and the computer can't read it (my game is still fairly new)? I mean, I tried putting the 2nd disk in and the Lenovo Laptop I have can't read the disk.

Thanks, it worked for me... after I canceled the partial download Origin had started previously.

Anyone following Philipposmagnus's procedure: make sure you have no active downloads of the game. You can cancel your download through the download queue in the Origin menu or clicking on the words in the progress bar at the bottom of Origin program. There will be a pause button and an "x" for cancel. Beware that this will delete your partial download and you'll have to start downloading over again if this procedure doesn't work.

BTW: EA "support" chat told me that there is no way to install from my discs. Time to update their scripts!

Installing Origin from the Disc solved the problem for me, Just explore the DVD 1 go to Autorun/Origin and run setup, Origin instalation will pop up telling that you are going to install older version, agree anyway after instalation is finished remove and insert Disc again and run Setup. It will work after 5 seconds.

BTW i was't using Origins since ME3 and i thought they fixed that issue already, they just abandoned Origins compeletely.

None of the previous workaround worked for me in this thread. Tried the reinstalling Origin, working offline etc. Still got the damn disc error. 3 hours to install a game is crazy.

In the end, I created a new folder on my E: Hardrive. Called E:\DA-i (just incase anyone is repeating these steps) I then copied everything from DVD 1 and dropped it into this folder. I then just copied

DA3Game.z01 (is on disk 1)

DA3Game.z02

DA3Game.z03

DA3Game.zip

into the E:\DA-i (folder)

I left DVD 4 in the DVD drive, and then double clicked on Setup.exe in the E:\DA-i (folder)

I did go offline in origin itself, just so it couldn't slip over to download.

I did get the error unable to read disk once, but I just clicked continue and thankfully it continued to copy.

I then went online clicked play, Origin then downloaded the 72 meg file, and is now currently downloading another file 242.82MB file.

I dont know what was more frustrating, waiting a month for it since it was bought as a birthday present, or 16 hours of unsuccesfully installation before I did it this way.
