Unable to login to servers

I have Dragon Age Origins on disk (and all of the expansions linked to my account I think), but I got annoyed with using it and thus in the recent Steam sales I bought Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition. However I find I can't actually login to the servers in the game. It says "Contacting Dragon Age Servers" very briefly before the notice blinks out and then it looks like nothing has happened. I'm not logged in, but I have no error messages.

I also noticed that the "Manage Account / Forgot Password" option actually takes you to http://go.bioware.com/dragonage/forgotpassword/en-us which doesn't load.

If someone could assist with this please?

  • Had the same issue! So I resetted my password on the ea website using the email adress I had on the bioware servers.. (never have been on ea.com before) and voila! With the old email adress and the new password, i was able to log in!

For what it's worth, I'm having the exact same issue (down to the site not loading) with the same version of the game but purchased off of EA Origin.

@EA_Ataashi I have a question about this though, and having the same problem. I wouldn't mind signing into the Dragon Age servers with an old account that is no longer in use (assuming the issue to have something to do with an old Bioware account not correctly syncing its details with the newer EA accounts). But I'm wary of having problems down the line.

I'm just now starting a brand new character, and want everything (Dragon Age Keep, etc) to be properly exported/synced on my EA account that I'm actually using in Origin, so as to be able to import the correct world state data to DA2 and subsequently to DA:I.

My situation is that I moved from a personal Gmail account over to a more professional G Suite account, so I updated the email address on my EA account to this G Suite account. I wouldn't want a second EA account to be accidentally created and associated with my old email address in this process.

Can you please confirm that this is going to work correctly? Or is the necessary DA:O data perhaps being synced through the Origin client itself, without the need for signing in to Dragon Age servers in-game?

Nevermind, I couldn't get the above to work anyways. But I found that the solution is actually to remove special characters from my EA account password, since it seems the game doesn't know how to handle them.
