13 years agoUnauthorized DLC
I've bought DLC's for Dragon Age 2 and installed them. When I look at my downloadable content, the version number reads "(Unauthorized) 1.0" -- and I can't access the game content. Just as an exam...

That is the point of the suggested solution. No access to content.
Please, someone compare a working manifest file.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<Manifest Type="AddIn">
<AddInsList>
<AddInItem UID="DA2_MTX_MAG" Name="DA2_MTX_MAG" ExtendedModuleUID="campaign_base" Priority="100" Enabled="1" State="2" Format="1" BioWare="1" MID="217" RequiresAuthorization="1">
<Title DefaultText="Mage Item Pack">
=========================================================================
I haven't had an issue with my DLC autorizations.
Blankety blankety blank.
Thank you very much for at least assuring me that I was chasing down a dead-end alley, but that is the same as my manifest to the letter, right down to the RequiresAuthorization="1".
To add to my frustration, we've apparently stumped tech support. I haven't heard boo out of them for over a week. (After waiting weeks to hear from them in the first place!)
Anyone else with a bright idea to try?

I'd go ahead and change MID="217" RequiresAuthorization="1"> to MID="217" RequiresAuthorization="0"> if I hadn't tried it already.
Yes, we've tried changing the RequiresAuthorization.

I know I'm like 6 years late, but, where do you find that file? The "RequiresAuthorization" one? Can't seem to find it.
Right here (attached - right click -> view image)
BTW, I cannot get it to work as well.
- Reinstalled without mods
- DLC installed with .exe from EA site (https://help.ea.com/en-ca/help/origin/origin/download-dlc-for-classic-origin-games/#dragonage)
- unlocked in Dragon Age Keep
- unlocked in Origins
- listed in "Downloadable Content" in main menu
- changed authorisation to 0
Still unauthorised...
My game is patched to 1.04. Item packs, Black Emporium work without problem. Legacy, Exiled Prince & Mark of the Assassin do not work (no statue, no codex entry, no cutscene,...).
*sigh*
Stupid question of the day......Have you signed into your Origin/EA account inside DA2??? Unlike newer DAI and MEA, you have to log into the correct account inside the game for it to authorize the DLC, even if you have it downloaded and installed on your machine.....
(Just for clarification I was referring to my question as the stupid one, because I am just about willing to bet you have done this and triple checked it...but I have done this kind of mistake enough times to have to ask when I see a problem like this.....yeah, I would totally do this...)
Ugh, so this is an issue spanning over six years?? I'm having the same issue as everyone else. Unauthorized 1.0. I'm logged into my EA account, but every time I try to log in in-game, it tells me I have to connect to the internet. Obviously I'm connected to the internet, seeing as I'm typing this, so IDK what's up. LOL. I've searching all over for a solution and I'm just about over it. I don't really need Sebastian that badly, do I?
But I spent money on that damn DLC bundle. FML. I really want this to work. XD
Having the same problem. DLC installed. Latest patch installed. Logged in to EA account. DLC stuff - like the Legacy statue - not showing up in game.
I paid money for this.
how does one simply change this
