13 years agoUnauthorized DLC
I've bought DLC's for Dragon Age 2 and installed them. When I look at my downloadable content, the version number reads "(Unauthorized) 1.0" -- and I can't access the game content. Just as an exam...
The workaround is actually pretty simple right click the manifest file, choose properties, then security, then click on your username and choose "Advanced" at the bottom, click on your username again, choose "Change Permissions", then "Edit" , then click on the "Full Control" box at the top, now you can just ok back to the main file. Right click the file, choose edit, then change the permissions to 0. Enjoy!
Usually I would feel bad for necroing this hard, but seeing as your post was 2 years late I don't feel as bad. Where exactly is the manifest file?
I'm going mad, here. How can this still be a problem after three years???
Anyway, the manifest fil is in C:\Program Files\Origin Games\Dragon Age II\addins\da2_prc_one (or substitute the name of your addin for the last part). Having found it, though, no amount of fiddling is helping!
OOoooook.... :eahigh_file: I'm trying this. I think I read somewhere this was the correct process for adding some of the other content. Sheesh, why don't they just put the code in the .exe portion of the file to look for this folder??? I sure hope this works. I'll let ya know in a bit. 😉
If so, this should be posted at the same site/page where the DLC is posted. I saw it nowhere at the social site, but then I've only been pluggin in the 'Search' inquiries for 3 days now, and to mostly "Dead" threads.
Wheeeeeel.. it didn't work. Getting the NSIS error again. Got me. 😞
