Upgraded PS4 Hard Drive using Nyko Data Bank

Just upgraded my hard drive memory to 3Tb (Seagate) and added the Nyko Data Bank to my PS4. The problem is that the game installs fine, but when installing the Update file, I am getting  error code CE-38612-0. Is there a compatibility issue? I am running the latest firmware 2.57, and the problem seems to be affecting  most of my library that need online connection. Have reinstalled 2.57 and DA:I a few times to see if it clears the problem. Also, restarted PS4. Nothing works! Do I have to wait for new firmware update or  a patch? I have all of the single player DLCs, I don't want to erase everything, and start over.

There is no support for any Game in that forum.

Only questions about using this website are on topic in there.  The thread is now moved.

  • Okay, a few things:

    1. Did it start directly after rebooting the PS4 after installing the Nyko Data Bank? Or only some time after? If it's directly after, you might want to consider backing up your data, removing the Data Bank, check for any visible physical damage on both your PS4 and Nyko DB, and carefully place back the Nyko DB.
    2. Error CE-38612-0. I just googled it, and it has to do with the Sony DB. What is recommended is to reboot the PS4 into Safe Mode and allow it to rebuild the databases. https://support.us.playstation.com/articles/en_US/KC_Article/Safe-Mode-PS4/
    3. It seems CE-38612-0 is for some a persistent error which started to happen months ago. Some have temporary fixed it by disabling the 'forced' internet connection on the PS4, but that creates the issue you cannot retrieve patches (you'll have to make single boots where you only retrieve updates etc, shut down and then unplug the connection again so you can play again. Sony apparently hasn't fixed this particular issue yet.

This is the information if found on that error code, if you have any more problems you should contact PlayStation Support. Hope it works.

Description: Application data on Hard Disc Drive is likely corrupted partially.

    Suggestion:
    1) Back up your game save data on USB storage device or Online Storage.
    2) Delete and reinstall the application by following steps
    - Press OPTIONS button on your controller while highlighting the application icon on home screen, and select [Delete].
    - Then re-insert your game disc into PS4 if you have disc version, or go to Library to download the application if you have a DL version.

    3) If the error persists after trying steps above, go to [Settings] > [Initialization] > [Initialize PS4] > [Quick] and initialize the system. Then install the application.

    4) If you have upgraded HDD, try using the original HDD that came with PS4 at the time of purchase, following the steps of upgrading HDD.
