Veil Quartz (Frostback Basin crafting material) States, when viewed in inventory that it's staff damage type is FIRE but, when you craft with it, it gives staves ELCTRICITY damage, Not Fire. Either what it does needs corrected or, the inventory text needs to be corrected. (I suspect the later would be simpler)
I noticed this recently, too. I'm sure it used to do fire damage... I assumed one of my mods changed it (so annoying that of the limited T4 materials, 2 gave fire damage to staffs, so I figured someone decided to fix it). 😛
Nope, it's actually an error in a mod free game. Yes I do think it should be Electricity damage since we already have Dragon Bone for fire, and with Trespasser, Ice Dragon Bone for Ice but, it should say electricity in the inventory description as well as at the crafting station.
Not really a big deal, just annoying for those of us that pay attention to such things.
Ice Dragon bone actually came with Jaws of Hakkon, just like Veil Quartz.
Perhaps I just never bothered making a staff out of it since Dragon bone was far more plentiful, and that's why I never realised it actually did electricity damage until recently. Or perhaps one of my mods actually did change the description... I can't remember, my brain is beginning to fail. 😛
