Walk Toggle Stuck to Walk

I haven't found anything from anyone else mentioning this, but i seem to have an issue where after pressing my mapped walk button, I do begin to walk, but once I try to press it again to toggle it off, my character just takes a sort of quick run-like step forward, but then goes right back to walking. I end up having to load a prior save game. Is this a known bug or a me bug?
