where do you find malachite?

YES PLEASE! THERE HAS TO BE SOMEONE SOMEWHERE THAT CAN HELP. I am afraid my level is too high to get it and I cannot find any of those ferelden locks either. Mages, templars....nothing.
Can you tell me where you looted them? Off of bandits, mages, templars? I am working on it now in Exalted Plains, I may be in the wrong local.
Oh, I just found a dragon...great! LOL Near the quarry. Kicked his butt. =)

- Since people are still wondering, I figured I would document in my newest playthrough if I ever found malachite in any locations other than the dragon from Hinterland. Killing every templar/mage in Hinterland netted 0 malachite. I ended up getting 1 malachite from a chest in Storm Coast next to where Blackwall's memories of the grey item is (South of Small Grove/East of Driftwood Margin like if you drew a line from both these camps, it's where the lines intersect). It's like a small wooden shack.
- While going to the shack I came upon 2 enemies map says Long River The Storm Coast almost dead center of map just south of shore line. Lucky for me I hadn't looted the boat after killing the dragon in the hinterlands. So I now have 4 in my cache. I looked and killed all over in the hinterlands and never saw any. I am a a level 21 warrior haven't been doing main quest cuz I enjoy the game and don't want it to be over. My sons going to do a play through after I'm done. Lucky little **bleep** will have it made.
