'Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts' bug
I'm having issues in the quest 'Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts'. I tried replaying the whole quest with a walkthrough to make sure it wasn't just because I had missed something but the problem was still there. In the Royal Wing, while trying to complete the 'Evade the trap' section a cut scene is meant to be triggered that reveals the identity of the assassin and a rift is meant to open and a battle follow the cut scene. Instead I enter the room and nothing happened. There are figures there that I cannot interact with and there is a small rift that I cannot interact with. Without this scene I cannot finish the quest.
I am on a PC playing version 1.0.0.12 so I think I am all up to date with patches and so don't really know what to do!
The way to check version number on PC is to check on it in the .../Origin Games/Dragon Age Inquisition/Update/Patch folder, a file called package.mft. If you open it with notepad, it should tell you the version number (which should be 12). Still, I doubt that's your problem, just something handy to know if it's ever an issue in future.
Have you tried doing a repair of the game? Right click the game in Origin and select 'repair game'. It shouldn't take too long, and can often fix little quirks that pop up. If you're using mods, take the mod folder out of your Update folder first.
Speaking of mods, if you're using any there's a tiny chance this could have something to do with your issue (I've never had it happen to me, I just finished this section, actually, and I have a ridiculous number of mods running, but you never know). Have you tried removing your mod folder (remembering to change your version number in Patch so you can load your save), see if that makes a difference?
Have you tried decreasing your graphics settings? All sorts of issues seem to pop up relating to this.
