Wrong class specialization

After a lot of hours playing my male dwarf warrior who everyone think is a woman, I have a new big bug.
I have reached skyhold and launch the spec quest in the war room. But instead of getting the warrior's quest, I have the rogue ones.
I can do assassin, tempest and the other one instead of champion, Templar or reaver.
WTF ?

Friends! The forums turned me onto the solution (at least for me). It might also explain why solutions work for some and not for others.

Right next to or under the mission marker for specializations, there is another one! You can see the color shift slightly as you pass over it. When you were getting the wrong teachers, you were clicking the wrong one! They are so close together that they seem like one marker, but there are two.

So YOU DONT HAVE TO START OVER.

Let me know if it's just me or if this fixes it foir you as well.

I have tryed that and its true! Moving the mouse slightly is possible to notice that there are two overimposed quest-flags and is usually easier to select the rogue one, but you can select the other one that was for my mage.

Although, I dont know if I should continue because I also have problems with the voice of my character and his gender....

  • Thank you anticlimax for the solution, you saved me from replaying about 30 hours. I really can't fiqure out how they screwed that up.

BTW has anyone tried going through with the wrong trainers,  I wonder if it would actually work.

I'm a warrior who got the rogue trainers. As I was trying to avoid spoilers I didn't know they were the wrong ones (though they weren't what I was expecting).

I picked Tempest. The mission completed and I didn't get a specialisation. Just nothing. I played on 20 hours before I got pissed off and looked it up. Now I'm level 19 and really underpowered without it. Starting to lose interest in the game now as I really wanted to try Reaver...
