Xbox One - Press Menu Button Freeze - DO SOMETHING!

Problem: While playing, the save game icon in lower right corner constantly on spin for over 30 minutes. This left me unable to save my game because the save game option had the "lock graphic" on it.

Finally noticed this and rebooted.

I was hoping this was just a small bug.

Now when I get the the Intro screen where all the soldiers are marching, everything looks okay.

This screen asks you to "PRESS MENU BUTTON".

Once I hit the menu button, everything freezes. Soldiers, birds, wind....music freezes about 5 seconds after the menu screen button is pressed.

I cant seem to move forward from here. Countless resets, power offs, you named it. Nothing seems to work right.

There has to be more than a small handful of us who are encountering this???

We've spent hours of play and paid a hefty amount of our hard earned dollar, only to be treated like we bought an unfinished product.

EA,

I love your games. Absolutely love them.

That being said, why not issue a patch to allow your patrons to continue to enjoy and play your game, instead of leaving all of us hanging in the dark.

You should AT LEAST shoot out some form of notice which states 'We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it'.....but no, nothing is done on your part.  It gives me the feeling that you just want our money and could give a rats about your product sold.

Take some form of initiative and carry yourselves to a higher standard and inform your paying patrons what you or we can do to resolve this.

Leaving us in the dark for nearly a week after release is really disheartening.

Please fix this issue...We paid the money, we enjoy the series, and most importantly, we WANT to play your game.

Thanks.

I've had the same issue just today, after having more than 130 hours of fun in this game and hungry for more. This is utterly fustrating.

Ok screw what I just said, I just tried a solution were you turn off your Xbox one, then take off the power socket or turn the power plug off. Wait for about 30 seconds (or in my case pace up and down your room nervously) and turn everything back on.

Go through signing in your profile then start up DAI, everything should work fine!

In my case I did it, the screen froze for about 5 seconds and THEN begain to start working and I can play now!

1st time logging in to post but this issue was such a shock to me as well I wanted to confirm that removing the power brick connection and doing a full hard power reset + signing out from Xbox live/Dragon Age servers + putting consule offline before powering back on solved the issue for me as well. I would speculate there is some bug with either the game or Xbox's continuous online account back up that causes a hard lock while updating saves and then prevents the game from launching at the title screen.

I first noticed an inability to enter a conversation with Solas in Haven, after about 10 hours of gameplay. I next noticed that the auto save icon was in continuous animation and saving or loading was locked out. I forced DAI to close from the Xbox menu and got the same lock up either after the initial art screen of the inquisitor or at the main title screen. I assumed the auto save was corrupted but found no way to edit or delete saves from outside the in game menu.

Full hard power reset and complete offline sign off fixed the issue so far. I have noticed numerous mostly trivial/humorous game bugs but this one is literally game breaking and possibly save corrupting if repeatable and demands patching.

    Same problems to me.

But I don't reboot the first time, the game "saving" without stop so I decide to go to another location (to make it save again) and the game crash.

    After that I can't play anymore ☹️

Just happened to me, unplugging for 30 seconds fixed it.

This will happen if your game fails to save properly, for example when you reach the maximum number of saves (like me, its 50). Seems like something they can patch easily
