Same issue here. Talked to Xbox support, reset my profile, cold booted, etc. No luck. I started up Dragon Age Origins just to see if it worked and had no issues. Also checked the EA Vault to make sure the game was not removed, it’s still there.
Apparently it’s hard broke across all media.. copies purchased directly from Microsoft on Xbox, from EA Access, and physical disc are not working.

If only id tried here before id deleted all my saves. Xbox support said it was my xbox playing up but id tried it on 2 other consoles with no luck.

It's definitely not the console, I'm having no problems installing other backwards compatible games including other bioware games. This has to be some sort of issue on EA or Bioware's end, hopefully they will realise they have made some kind of mistake and fix it but with this being an older game i'm not sure how long it will take for them to respond to this issue.

I am having the exact same issue and have been in contact with XBOX support. All they do is ask me to restart the console or reinstall the game. I could not launch it at first so I chose to uninstall it and install it again. Only thing is... it won't install again but other games will.
This has been ever since the update on the 23rd.
Looking at the forums there are at least 100 other people reporting the issue
