Now that Dragon Age The Veilguard is out I'm interested in hearing what class everyone wants to start their first playthrough with.
I usually go with Warden - Warrior combo for the first playthrough then branch out to Mage after.

My first character is starting out as a Elven Female Mage. I usually start, restart and redo characters a couple times before I get one I want to play all the way through.....we will see if the trend continues. I will also usually play through multiple times, with multiple characters if the story is worth the trip.
I still don't like the lllloooonnnggg blade ears for elves, rather than the ones seen in first game...but it is what it is, at least they can be turned more backwards, rather than requiring them to stick out like donkey ears as in previous games.

I was a Warrior in 1 and 2 but decided to switch things up with (Still Warden) Mage who uses the daggar - pretty fun so far

DAO: mage elf. DAI: Mage elf. DAtV: Mage elf. For some reason I had the feeling a mage elf is more in touch with that is going on in DA and the fade. It worked out in DAI (in terms of story) and I hope to be the case here as well.
