GeForce Now and EA login asking every time

GeForce Now is requiring me to login every time I start up the new Dragon Age game and on the TV app for GeForce Now the login screen comes up for EA but you can't click on anything. I have contacted GeForce and they can't give me an answer.

  • I had the same problem.

Just hold start button on your controller, select "mouse and keyboard" and you will be able to login.

Still i have to say it is pretty annoying having to login every time we start the game. This only happens with EA, games from other services we just have to login 1 time.

Hi @SKEEii, To confirm are you getting asked to sign into the EA app each time or once you are in-game?

  • I can confirm that when playing Veilguard on GeForce Now via the EA App, I have to log in every time. Doing so with a controller is a real hassle. Hope EA and GeForce Now can play better together soon.

  • This is driving me insane.  Every time I want to start the game on GFN, I get asked to login.  I tick the "stay logged in" box, makes no difference.  Then today, my account gets flagged as "unusual activity", it forces me to reset my password.  Try to login again, "unusual activity" again, reset password again, and so on.  And it takes a few minutes sometimes to receive the confirmation code via email, adding to the frustration.  Just a total nightmare, can't play tonight.

I had the same "unusual activity" message.

If you have 2FA in you EA App configured, you always get asked becouse Geforce starts a new virtual machine each time you play so for EA you will always play from a new computer.

But even if you uncheck 2FA in EA App it still asks from time to time.

It is so annoying and the Problem exists since the new EA App came out.

    Hey Everyone,

We can pass along feedback to our team about the experience when logging into the EA app using Geforce Now.

However, we may be running into an issue with how GN functions, as each connection can be on a new "machine" you cloud stream to. This can prompt you to log in or potential security messages more often then signing in locally.

    Cheers!

  • Hey, this does sound like an issue with gfn being a cloud based gaming platform yeah. So maybe a rethink around your authentication strategy with gfn would have been sensible BEFORE gfn and ea ran a massive promotion on a 6 month gfn package with Veilguard thrown in, because right now this experience is incredibly poor. I waste loads of time every few days just trying to sign in, resetting passwords, and not being able to play. Other gfn aligned platforms do not suffer from this, so we know a sane, reasonable approach is possible.

  • I got a credentials have expired message when I signed into the app to play Dragon Age Veilguard, I changed my password but two days later when I was playing the game via Geforce Now I got thrown out the game. When I went to get back into the game the EA app sign in pop up appeared telling me my credentials had expired, I again had to change my password.

Why is this problem persisting? It's unfair to expect customers to constantly have to change their passwords in order to play your games. When I went to play DAV again I'd lost over half an hour of play time.

I've gotten the "your credentials have expired" message on EA app several times while logging in via GeForce Now and had to change my password, I've also gotten the same bug when I try to log into your app directly without going through GeForce Now.

  • It's really because EA is not fully integrated with GFN like the other storefronts are.

For me, it is annoying but I also played so many MMOs through the years that I am used to having to send credentials to play a game.

I suppose if someone is coming from console this is less common simply because of the walled garden your account is tied to. One of the *minuscule* conveniences of console gaming periodically compared to a PC experience, but it's also not always a problem and is becoming less of one every year.

I hope they get their integration soon, and I hope they fix the Battlefield situation on GFN.
