loading for ages

Hello, I'm trying to play but the loading time is going on forever, I'm not sure if this is a technical issue or my pc specs are too low. According to the guides I should be able to play it

The issue is like this:
I open the game and it loads for a bit, then the loading icon goes away and the screen goes black, there are no indicators of anything going on tho I understand the shaders compilation should be going on (which it doesnt show up I just read it online) I let it run for about an hour more or less and still nothing. 
I did not want to run it for longer because steam will understand this as "playing" and wont let me return the game in case it turns out my specs are just too low for me to play the game.
Another important thing: when I tab out of the game the icon in the taskbar lights up indicating there is a pop up or window or some kind of notification from the game, but when I go back to the game there is nothing just a black screen.
it might be possible there is a step or something I have to approve that bugs out on my pc? maybe a prompt shows up when starting the game that I'm not getting for some reason ?
In any case I left my pc stats below, I know its on the very low end of the spectrum.
