It*s still there, I cannot interact with unique chests, altars etc. Right now I cannot finish a sidequest in gaspin manor, because I would have to interact with the dagger, which is bugged.

Look, there are already 4 sides, and several other forumposts on this exact problem, and don't even start with steam.

I verified the files, multiple times, tried reloads with older files, or replayed a good junk of the current character, nothing worked.

Then, after 30-ish hours in the game, and being very frustrated, I decided to start a new game.

And then guess what? Same problem again.

I genuinely like the game, but a problem like this, where you cannot finish quests, not geht unique loot AND not being able to max out stats (HP) or get all possible skillpoints, is simply not acceptable.

So....when does this get finally fixed?

Yes, still bugged for me. I noticed that the lyrium dagger disappeared from my hip

The website does not allow .csav files. Is there any other way to submit a save file?

@EA_IlliumHi do we know when the problems will be fixed? i'm getting annoyed with not being able to play a game I brought because of a bug that should of been fixed before the game was  released to the public I would ask for a refund from steam but I'm past the refund window

Compress your save file into .zip, .rar, or .7z and it should upload without an issue.

Could we get any updates on how it's going to fix this problem. I really want to keep playing the game but this game breaking bug keeps stopping me from wanting to keep playing it.

I am having the same issues.  I ran in to it on my 1st attempt to play through in the Crossroads with the 1st Dread Wolf statue.  I restarted a new game and it worked just find, until I reached the Formless One in the Necropolis.  Now the dagger has disappeared from my character and I am unable to use it on the Unique chests or statues.

Any news about this? After I got the Heart of Corruption quest, used the orbs on the door right to Lighthouse Elluvian, I become unable to open uniques chests and gates. It looks like a good lot of peopel are having the same problem, can you please let us know when it's going to be fixed? There are 2 patchs already and this problem was reported before patch 1 and it did not get addressed.

Just commenting so I could follow this thread. I started experiencing this bug several days into the game and I assumed that I simply hadn't unlocked the means to open these chests yet. I only found out through looking it up that it's a common bug players are experiencing. After completing Chapter 8, I was briefly able to use the lyrium dagger again to interact with exactly one Fen'harel altar only to be unable to use the dagger again for the rest of my playthrough. I've since stopped playing the game until this issue is fixed. Otherwise, I've thoroughly enjoyed the game so far.

Yes - the chests are still not opening. My first playthrough was fine. My second was bugged. It came back for a bit, then disappeared, then back again. Wasn't able to open chests through the latter half of the game.

If it's gone you can't activate altars, break walls with the three circle symbols on them, or open chests with the three circle symbols on them. I also included a screenshot of an Inactive special Chest versus an Active one.

  I am also having this problem. Lost access to my blade somewhere around recruiting the Warden and/or Dragon Hunter NPC. I've gotten it back after the Siege of W quest as others have said. But if I complete the Heart of Corruption Quest, my blade breaks again after beating the boss. Seeing people having the same problem, I created a save before beating the Heart of Corruption Boss and when I went back to that, I had my blade again, so I'm just leaving that quest as incomplete for now I guess. :/ But I don't know if I can finish the game without doing it and to be honest I wouldn't want to...
