veilguard VRAM issues

I am playing Dragon Age: Veilguard on PC. I meet minimum spec requirements. When I run Veilguard, the graphics settings tell me I am running 8 GB out of 1.9 available VRAM. This is my GPU and should be able to run this game just fine. I run BG3 on Ultra with no problem. I can run Veilguard, but when I move in game, it's blurry, and frames drop like crazy. I changed a setting and got an E_OUT OF MEMORY error. I have adjusted my virtual memory size and paging file, updated my BIOS and drivers, and fiddled with the GPU settings, but no matter what I am getting this VRAM message. I am only running Veilguard when I play. I'm confused about what to do, as it doesn't seem to be the PC port. Any ideas?

  • Hi @petiteti, Can you confirm your running Veilguard from your dedicated graphics card and not your CPU?

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

This was in fact the issue. Even though Adrenalin was telling me the game was running on my GPU Windows had the automatic setting to my CPU.
