Cant Interact with chests or statues? Read here

Mine bugged with the dagger no longer being visible or working on the chests or wolf statues for the last 25% of the game or so.  I just started a new save and it happed again around act 3 if I remember correctly.  I tried loading a recent save that was good with the dagger working but it had become bad and the dagger was now missing.  I had to go back approximately 10 saves and lost about 1+ hr of playing to get to a save where the dagger was working.  Ughhh.  So, now I'm saving about every 5 minutes.
