Can't Progress Blood of Arlathan Quest

I am completely stuck and can't proceed with the game at all at this point.

The Blood of Arlathan quest is very bugged. The rest of the group is trying to get a gate open, and the quest log currently says to 'Defend the area', but the second group of Venatori enemies is not spawning, no matter what.

 I have a good enough rig to have Ultra settings. I have now tried to lower all of my graphics and visual settings to Low. I have restarted the whole quest twice. I have tried running the game windowed. Nothing has worked.

I have literally just stood there and waited for enemies to spawn for over ten minutes. I can't progress the game at all now.

      Ok, I made it. At the moment of running from the ramp, I didn't attack the enemies, but made three circles around the crystal in the middle. When the enemies were defeated, the lever activated and the scaffolding collapsed, I ran to the crystal in the middle and waited a moment. But at crystal A not at the gate, and surprisingly: it worked.

    I have the same problem and can't progress the game at all. I've tried repairing, reloading from different points, restarting the quest from the beginning, I even did the suggestion from another comment to run around in a circle three times before initiating combat. I can't get past this point. The second wave of enemies never spawns no matter how long I wait. I'm really bummed. The game runs pretty terribly for me in general (my computer meets the minimum, but not the recommended specs) but I've been muddling through anyway because I'm really enjoying it in spite of the glitches and loading errors, but this has broken it completely for me. Just hoping someone else has a suggestion to try.

      I’m having the exact same problem and have seen nothing that can fix it. I’ve tried everything I can think of and it hasn’t worked. If yo do find something please let me know

      did you manage to fix it? ive had the same problem and genuinely cannot continue playing the game is so aggravating idk what to do ://

        Sadly, no. No fix yet. I've actually gone back to playing Origins for now. Just checking this thread periodically, hoping it gets some traction or attention and crossing my fingers for a patch at some point. I wish there were an official  place to report bugs as this is literally game-breaking.

    Confirmed that this is STILL stuck after the latest patch. It's been an entire month now that I can't play this game. Total waste of money.
