Character completely reset after reopening game

Hiya, downloaded the game, made a character and got to the part right after the first cutscene before I had to go. I manually saved the game and quit. I can back a few hours later to resume the game and the character’s appearance had completely reset to the original preset. Her voice was different, too. I’m not sure if the backgrounds I chose were still selected either but I don’t know how to check that. I’d really like that original character back bc it took me a while to get it to where I was happy. Yes, I loaded all saves I had and they all reset her appearance. She looked and sounded correct during the cutscenes before I quit the game, too.

    I’m having the same issue. Sometimes when I open the game and continue Rook stays the same, but without fail they revert to the default preset when I open a save from the load menu or reload after dying.

    I'm so pissed off, spent two hours on character creation and he was gorgeous. Then when I saved and reset the game to fix the graphics my character was the preset. I was STREAMING this **bleep** and I tried all my auto saves and everything and he is gone. This is basic stuff how can it be so wrong losing an entire character when it starts the game with it straight off the bat.

      The only solution I had I found in another post with someone with the same issue. Basically you have to close and reopen the game and load the most recent save, whatever it is. Even if the most recent save was made when the character was bugged it should go back to the edited appearance. If that doesn’t work, try again. Took me 3 times for it to work, it lasted for about 3 hours until I reloaded to a save farther back than my most recent. It seems like if you load anything other than the most recent one it won’t work. I run my game on the lowest settings due to an outdated CPU, I don’t know if that contributed to it
