Constant crashing since Patch 2

I've been seeing a lot of posts from people having trouble with the game crashing, and unfortunately you can add me to the list. Thing is I wasn't having any issues running the game until Patch 2 dropped. Game was running smoothly before then, but now it constantly crashes after just a few minutes of gameplay. I've turned down my graphics settings, uninstalled and reinstalled, reinstalled the graphics driver, etc. etc. all the usual steps to no avail. Think they broke something with the last patch and it desperately needs a fix or this game is getting retired early. Here's my specs so you have the data:

AMD Ryzen 7 7700x 8-core processor

32 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

  • Yeah, a lot of people having this issue. Worked great for me on Steam prior to the patch "fixes", and I have a gtx 4090 and 32gb of RAM. I wouldn't keep tweaking your setup. It's not your PC. It's the game. And yes, Bioware needs to at least acknowledge that they're aware of the many issues, or the game will be dead inside of a month because fed up people who paid good money can't play it and have moved on to other games.

Yep. I'm considering just refunding the game and waiting for it to be cracked on PC before I play.

I don't want to pirate the game but when it's completely unplayable for weeks, why did I even buy it?

  • Lmao the community manager has got time to write a pages long blog post about  the strand hair (which is partially a factor in the or at least some of the crashes), but not answer any of the threads

    Aight

    I'm throwing in the towel

Asking for a refund. Last time I'll purchase a Bioware game. Gonna talk with my money.

    Good luck ya'll

I'm with you. Whether or not Bioware survives this third strike out of a game (Anthem and Andromeda being strikes one and two), I'm done with them as a company and will no longer be looking forward to any of their games. My husband said Bioware was dead after Andromeda. I should've just listened and moved on.

I downloaded and started Metaphor last night and am now hooked. If I've already moved on, Bioware can bet others have too. Such a shame and waste of people's time and money, considering some players said they took planned time off over a month before Veilguard launched to be able to delve deeply into the game.

If Bioware doesn't fix this game, they'll be a running joke for years, and the majority of gamers won't give any game they do in the future a second look, if the company survives. I was looking forward to seeing if Mass Effect 5 would redeem the shenanigans of Mass Effect 4 (Andromeda), but now I don't even care. EA/Bioware has shown that they don't care about releasing a good and workable game for players. Seems like all they care about is money-snatching these days.
