Forget this issue, how has there not even been a patch for over a month.

Not to defend the fact that this is still an issue or that we haven't had any communication about it. But it's normal to have a holiday code freeze, so I'm not surprised that we haven't had any patch. If we don't have an update and/or patch in the next couple of weeks, then I'd be side-eyeing them. This post started 3 months ago - but I respect the religious beliefs of EA - if they have been fasting and then celebrated orthodox christmas this is when they start. Hopefully you are right, and that overworked programmers just need some time off to be able to dig into this problem now - but there are some good programmers in India and China that EA could consider hiring if that is the issue.
To me it looks like the issue is hardware-related and that the game runs poorly on older hardware so that making a patch is not at all easy - and the minimum requirements really should be risen to just above my system.

I see people try to blame older hardware a lot, and that's simply not the case. The game runs with fewer issues on my i7 2070 than it does on my AMD 7800x3d 4070 ti super. Also runs with fewer issues on a friend's AMD 7600X 4070 super (no ti). Downgrading my PC to an old HDD instead of an SSD eliminates the audio problem (but causes severe latency in texture and model loading). Like yeah, there's obviously a complicated problem, but it isn't because people are trying to play on PCs that can't handle the game.
