Default to Default Rook on Saves - UNACCEPTABLE

I've seen this posted a lot but I'm gonna post it again. Every time I save and then exit, EVERY TIME, my Rook goes to a default model of Rook. Unless I save in the Lighthouse where I can immediately ...

I've got the same issue, the resets to default thing and none of the sketchy 'just restart over and over from an old save' seem to work. But also - this shouldn't be a bug still! 

Also thank you for bringing up that not-saving and exiting is really ableist!
