During the 3rd phase of this fight, Elgar'nan's health will get down to about 1/4 or so and he will crouch/stagger stance. His HP will hit zero and nothing will happen. Game was lagging during the cut scenes. I tried adjusting the graphics settings, but no dice. Has anyone else had this or know a way to fix it?
i am having the same issue, he gets to the last bit of health and just kneels there and you are stuck in a combat loop, I did not have any kind of lagging. I have tried restarting that section of the fight and restarting from his first phase and it is still happening.
So I went back to the temporary chapter save where you begins climbing, and that seemed to work, he’s dead! It is a little annoying to have to go back to and I still don’t know what triggered the bug but hopefully that works for you too
that did not work for me I tried to go back to that file twice. It may be that killing him was too easy. I used my electric staff with 318. they need to fix this issue so i can finish the game
I have followed all suggestions about going back to saved games, changing my groups, nothing works. Every time I get him at the last strike and nothing. I’ve done this at least 6 times. Please help.
Wow, same issue here, bug free playthrough right until about to kill Elgarnan, he kneels and it's an endless loop, how can I justify keeping this bloated game on my hard drive? I just want to finish it already, 93 hrs later, no ending..........THE EA GODS SHINED UPON ME... 5 mins after posting the above, I loaded 2 autosaves back, got Elgarnan down to very little health and then focused on only attacking at range, he still got into the crouch, then I ran away until my people stopped attacking him, ran up to him and was able to click right stick in to advance, hope this helps someone
