I only started experiencing this issue today, but based on your post it must have been in the original release. I was thinking it was due to the update on 7 Nov but apparently not. All input completely drops from my keyboard and mouse and I never know when it'll happen. Sometimes it's instantly upon loading a game, other times I can get a good couple of hours in. It's quite frustrating!
I haven't experienced the typing issues that you describe but it definitely seems related.
