Game Changed my gender to man mid game

I started the game as a female warden known as a woman with she/her , i made it past the mirror Varic gives you part still a female, than i made it 8 hours in and to the first warden and noticed he called me boy. i thought that was weird so i went to the lighthouse and went to the big mirror where can change look and noticed the game now thought i was a man with he/him.
