Not a bug! Press Forward+Jump on each beam.
Even I'm having issues with this part, no amount of pressing forward makes my Rook go any further forward and it just makes me fall short. ): I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm a Qunari/Warrior combo, everyone else I've seen make it over have smaller characters with smaller weapons so I'm unsure if maybe it's a hitbox issue or what, but no matter what I've tried doing, restarting, trying to dash while jumping, etc. all while pressing forward, doesn't seem to work.
