The conversation is just an introduction to Lucanis. More can be triggered later in the game. It will not appear as completed in the tracker(journal) because it is not an actual quest or a side quest.
It still doesn't answer our main question... Is it possible to romance Lucanis after saving Minrathous? Is it bug? or is locking him out of romance is intentional?

Is it possible for us to get an official answer to if saving Treviso or Minrathous locks you out of either the Lucanis or the Neve romance, and if so, which one, and is it intentional/do you plan on leaving this as an intended consequence?

I also have the same question. Since the warning is the same for both Lucanis and Neve (says relationship slows down), and Neve is romanceable after, is Lucanis being locked a bug?
Particularly, it seems unfair to me that he would be completely spiteful about me choosing Minrathous (especially as a Shadow Dragon) and then fall for Neve, who's also in the same situation. Why would he hold a grudge against the Rook alone and go for her?

I believe that patch that was released yesterday finally confirms that if you choose Minrathous, you are locked out of Lucanis romance (it does first meniton it is going to be slowed before deciding). I believe that this was not mentioned in the pach notes.
After saving Minrathous and completing conversation in Treviso, you get a new pop-up saying that you are no longer able to romance Lucanis.
Nice to get confirmation, but that's pretty upsetting, especially since you can still romance Neve if you choose to save Treviso. Guess I'm replaying like 25 hours of the game now.
This doesn’t make sense considering it’s happening with multiple characters and is obviously causing people to be locked out even if they did save Treviso.
If it is marked as a quest to follow why wouldn’t it be logged as a completed quest when finished. Someone also said the same thing happened with Taash with one of her quests. People should not be locked out of a romance with Lucanis and I’ve seen people say that it is also locking them out of Hero status.
It’s breaking peoples games. So obviously there’s something wrong with it.
Plus the Coffee with the Crows quest should have been his introduction, because it happened before. So I’m just confused as to why it’s locking people out.
With all respect, that doesn't make sense. If "Bidding Farewell" isn't an actual side quest, why is it so key to a romance throughline? I'm now locked out of any flirt options. And if it isn't an actual side quest, why is it then marked as "Failed" for me in the journal after the major Act 1 choice?
But.. the "Coffee with the Crows'' is his introdctory quest though, is it not?
EXACTLY. So that answer makes little sense. Because it is not his introductory quest to begin with. Plus all 1st and 2nd companion quests outside of Lucanis are marked as complete.

Locking ppl out of the romance is understandable (however a bad choice imo) but makes no sense that he’d pursue a relationship with Neve lmao
