Why are the arrow keys not an option to take the place of WASD? Every other PC video game out there allows it, including the previous DA games. As is, I cannot play the game. I'm really disappointed as I've had it on preorder since it was possible and will ask for a refund through Steam.
I hope that there will be a fix for this.
I feel you on this. It would be nice to get an official response on whether they intend to fix this so those of us who cannot play the game know whether to wait it out for a bugfix or whether to request a refund.
Yeah i'm f.ex. too left-handed. My left hand is on the arrows keys (to move) and my right hand on the mouse (naga raza trinity mouse) where i bind normaly my spells (here in DAV 1-3 Main Spells, 4 the Ultimate, 5 Dodge and on 6 Block/ShieldBubble) and on the "RighShift" my sprint, that can click it with the ring finger :D
A mate of me is too left-handed but he does the opposite. Right hand on arrow keys to move and left hand on the mouse.
But for both of us it no fun to play without using the arrow keys to move.
And with third party software to rebind, you have a lot of problems when the program runs long or you push to often they keys then it starts to bug f.ex. "auto run" or "movement freezes" for few seonds etc. And if you edit the files directly, you get the whoobly camera problem, this is too fixable but indirectly.
So i HOPE to of a fast hotfixe!
I'm like your mate - left-handed, right hand on arrow keys to move, left hand on mouse. And I have issues with nausea and vertigo with wobbly camera movement, so the fix isn't a fix for me at all, alas. I'm at the point where I just need someone from support to tell me whether I need to refund the game or not.
I don't think they fix it and when then not on couple of days maybe in weeks or with a big patch in months and declared it as "big feature" :D

Even if only 10% of the world's people are left-handed and even fewer are disabled, it should be possible for a company like BW/EA to implement something like this from the start. In addition to the woke issues, this is the most frequently mentioned problem with the controls here in the forum and on Steam.
