Oversharpening using DLSS or TAA. Expose the sharpening as an adjustable option?

Hello there,

The game is very enjoyable and technically competent on PC so thank you very much for the release, but basically as the title says there's only one visual element that really distracts my eyes which is the image sharpening when any anti aliasing solution is engaged.

When AA is disabled the sharpening is also disabled but then it's also a bit too blurry (for me) in some areas of the image instead.

This might be more of a subjective topic and not really bother everyone, but would it be possible to expose this sharpening option to us in a future patch so that we can find a middle ground ourselves?

Thanks very much and all the best.

You can use the blurry option and then play with the resolution scaler to set your sharpening. However this option can be intensive to your system. I play with DLSS and use 120% resolution scaling and the game looks amazing.

      Thanks for the reply.

DLSS with higher resolution scaling does appear to help a little to reduce sharpening so I think I'll do something similar for now. You can offset the performance hit by using a lower mode, but it does have a higher vram cost and it's still oversharpened enough to appear visually noisy to me, so I'll still hope for a slider.

Also if you have a NVIDIA card you can press alt+f3 and choose the sharpening option to do it that way while also using DLSS. (I don't see them adding a sharpening option but never say never).

The game is excellent, ty. With my 4090, the game does indeed look grainy from over sharpening. Please fix it. It's not game breaking, but does distract from the visuals while playing, especially on the clothing textures. I try using alt f3 in game to manually reduce sharpening in nvidias console, but my mouse has zero input when open. Looking forward to the fix.
