Don't worry about accessing the boss and getting through to fight the boss because the boss is bugged also. You goes up to perch where you can only damage it with ranged abilities. He goes down to 65% health and then just stays there and is immune to all damage. I've reloaded up to 40 times and even went back to saves from before I killed any of the three demons leading up to the boss.
I'm having the exact same issue. I even thought it was immune to lightning damage, so I switched up my build, only to get the sxact same result. The quest is definitely bugged.
I'm having the same issue too. It's crazy to me that EA hasn't fixed this yet. This seems like something that should have been caught in beta.
