Regrets Of The Dreadwolf: Bug/Invisible Wall

Hello All, i don't if this is a common issue but i wanted to post here anyways.
I am having an issue on this quest chain, i seem to have hit an invisible wall that will not allow me to move passed this area

The quest itself ran fine and i have already collected the other memories. I had attempted this early on but reloaded out into an older save when it wasn't working, that was maybe in my fourth or fifth hour of the game, obviously i am well passed that point.
I do not believe these are Locked by main story and i don't think that would matter any ways seeing as this is one of the first areas we ever visit.

If anyone knows how to get passed a Bug like this i would appreciate it, thank you!

  • I am having the exact same issue. I was able to enter this portion of the quest before but another bug stopped me from continuing on to the next part of the quest. when I reloaded my save to try again I could not get past this point any longer.

Ok you can fix this by reducing your visual setting to the minimum so it doesnt overuse your VRAM (seems as an optimization issue). Then reload and start over this part. It should trigger an additional cutscene. That should mean it worked.

Let me know if it works for you.

    Good luck

I put everything to low, saved, exited the game, and reset but it didn't seem to help.
Are there specific steps or is it just not happening?

I'm already at the point where the next mission will set up the ending run for the game, maybe i'll just have to do it next run at this rate.

6smua1aaorogThe tip is appreciated but I dont know if its a one size fits all solution quite yet, already kinda did this, was playing base settings and lowered everything only AFTER getting the bug and still no luck.

I'm thinking we may have to wait for another patch but this seems to be the way of these modern day gigantic RPGs, I'm sure the game will be much smoother in the coming months... just a bit unfortunate for us early adopters.

SkimFrickSoyBoijust speaking from what I've been doing since. I made an extra save along with my main manual save, titled it ROTDW backup, just in case I hit the point in the main one that I can't do it anymore, then I have a fallback. That...  and I already spend a lot of time having fun in the character creation so I have more characters/builds to fall back on and play with while we wait. Only thing I'm hoping is that we aren't left waiting so long that the game starts to get too repetitive doing the same missions over again with new characters.

Whatever happens, hopefully they bring us something for this soon. Best of luck to you all in your adventures!

  • Hi just adding to this to say I have also been dealing with this for days. I usually load in from a manual save. I once started the quest in this area and had to reload a previous save due to the cutscene not beginning after the first battle (among other environmental things not loading.) And have not been able to get back through this bridge. Hoping they see this thread and take a look at that, I have 1 regret left and don't want finish out this playthrough without the relevant lore :')
