Rook's gender changed midgame

Noticed during Taash's quest that their mother referred to nonbinary Rook as a man. Same thing happened to someone I'm playing alongside. Their Rook went from being a female she/her to a male he/him. Mine remained as they were.

Theres no way to switch back either, and apparently it happened a few days ago after we checked all the saves. Would have to start from the beginning basically.

Is there genuinly no way to change your gender midgame, after being locked out of Varric's mirror?
