Strand Hair issue

With the strand hair option enabled, hair has graphical artifacting. 64GB ram, RX 7900 XTX, Ryzen 7 7800X3D

(Same problem, with 32GB RAM, RX 7900 XTX, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, driver version 24.10.1.)

Edit: Also tried the beta version (24.20.19.05) and no difference.
