Stuck on "Press any Button to Continue"
Just bought Veilguard on Steam. When I finish loading shaders, I get to the "Press any button to continue" screen and when I press anything, it doesn't do anything.

Same issue, and I’m absolutely crushed. It’s like the “Press Any Button” background particles loops forever with some audio crackling? But it recognizes my pressings with the audio wooshes. Tried mouse, keyboard, controller presses to no avail.
The experience of installing it since 9am PST, waiting 5 hours for it to install, only to be met with a 45-minute shader loading screen, both of which I can take (it’s like watching the little engine that could), but I’ve been waiting for 9 years for this game completely blind on coverage, did my prep and updated before launch, put in the time off, and to see it not work is so soul-crushing. :( I understand that Launch Days are difficult, so the best I can do is wait, but I still can’t help but feel so depressed about it now. Fingers crossed it works soon, I’m still rooting for you, Veilguard and Bioware.
I had to update my graphic drivers
Mine were already updated and a re-install also didn't fix the issue.
Same problem here, Defender doesn't fix it. Keyboard/Mouse work fine to cancel out of the previous loading screens (whatever comes after the shaders), but the "Press Any Button" screen just makes a sound whenever a key is pressed, but nothing happens.
Edit to clarify: the game does not crash, but will just sit at the "Press Any Button" screen forever.
Yup. That is exactly what is happening. Been troubleshooting this for going on 4 hours now. Beyond frustrating.
Anymore ideas? Nothing seems to be working and I cannot play. Been doing this for over 4 hours.

My drivers are up to date. My windows is up to date. Windows Defender controlled folder access is off. I've started in compatibility mode with Windows 8. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've repaired the installation through Steam. I've restarted my PC multiple times. My husband was able to progress past the Press any Button to Continue, and he mentioned something about linking my game to my EA account. Could that be a problem?

My controlled folder access is switched off completely, so that can't be it I'm afraid.
I've tried it both with Defender controlled folder access off and with an exception for the executable. Still not progressing past Press Any Button.
Its a bit random for me. Sometimes it gets stuck there and sometimes it work. If I had to hazard a guess, it is due to the game not being able to connect to the servers. Stopping and restarting the game after a min seems to work more often then not.
Been waiting for a fix to this for 9 hours.
Only button that works for me on that screen is pressing left on my left stick (ps5 controller). No other controller or mouse/keyboard inputs work.
Till now I still couldn't get pass the press any bottom... tried everything... very frustrated
