I'm playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard on PC and the Nudity button is on as you can see in the attached screenshot. Nevertheless, my Rook and Neve are wearing underwear in their love scene justbefore the finale. Why ist that? Is that a bug ore a feature?
I heard that there is no nudity in the game outside of character creation, but I haven't checked all romance scenes. PC Gamer wrote that they've been "gaslit by the nudity toggle."
Hm, why should they? To what purpose? I don't believe that.
From having 100% the game, I can say PC Gamer's take is accurate.
Yep, we were all gaslit by the promise of nudity. You only really get it in the character creator, and even then, you only get to see boo.bs. I was looking forward to seeing Davrin's firm buttocks and his "frank-and-beans" too, but no.
Seriously, Inquisition had more passion and nudity. Because from what I understand, we don't really get any "sex" scenes. Gah, what am I, 12? Try multiplying that by almost 4. Chalk it up to another thing Baldur's Gate 3 did better, delivered a game for adults.
Yes, Baldurs Gate 3 did better. But it's not fair to compare The Veilguard to Baldurs Gate 3.
I only compare it to the other Dragon Age games and to Mass Effect. In Inquisition was some nudity witout such a button but there was also a very vanilla romance with Josephine. in Mass Effect only the Girls with the blue skin were naked and they weren't even girls. 😉
So why a nudity button now, if it doesn't work? Why should the gaslight us?
I just think they shouldn't even have the nudity toggle, but instead just state the game includes mild nudity. I mean, if you don't ever see nude characters, a toggle is unnecessary. Don't get me wrong, nudity doesn't make a good game. I still enjoy Veilguard when it works. I haven't played in a few days because, since the first patch, it crashes shortly after loading in.
Cora's love scene in Mass Effect Andromeda was full of nudity and one of the best i've seen in a game.
Like I said, the Girl who isn't even a girl and has a blue skin is the only one who is complete naked (just finished the Taash romance).
