Unable to sell Valuables

Question

I just started and am not to far in when I reach my first merchant, when I go into there inventory and move to my own in there screen I am unable to sell any of my items for gold. Im curious to see if anyone else is having this issue or if it is just a big they need to patch?

Apparently you can only sell to faction merchants. A sell button comes up when you are able to
