I am just leaving some notes here as this issue has seemed to get worse as opposed to better. When I first purchased Dragon Age: Veil guard, I had no issues, and it ran perfectly with no crashes. Recently, I was playing another game, Avowed which basically made me update my BIOS before playing it. (Not initially, but the 4th or 5th I launched it the other day, it came up with a message that I had to update my bios, and it would not play until after I did) Just yesterday, I launched Dragon Age to play my character for a bit and it just crashed repeatedly. I had originally purchased it at launch through EA. So, I tried several times, and it continued to crash. At first, I did a repair in EA, and that seemed to get me further, but the game crashed. I then completely uninstalled the game via windows and did the reinstall through EA. That also continued to crash. Mind you, I have all Windows updates, I am running Windows 11 and I have the most recent NVidia update as of March 18th, 2025. Just to be sure, I uninstalled and reinstalled several times onto different SSDs and NVMEs and nothing worked. Finally, since it was on sale on Steam and I wanted to play it on my Steam deck, I purchased the game on Steam and installed it. It seemed to be much snappier and loaded everything faster. However, I got thru the Character creation, and it just quit. As of right now, I cannot play the game on my PC, but I was able to play it for an hour on my Steam Deck with no issues. I have zero issues with any other game. I have a 14th Gen i7, a 4070TI Super and 64 GB of DDR5 RAM. I have experienced none of the degradation issues some have associated with the 13th and 14th gen. I monitor my CPU and GPU temps and Voltages closely and they have never been abnormal, ever. Again, every other game I run runs fine with no issues. It is only Dragon Age that does not run, and this is after trying both the EA version direct from the EA app and the Steam Version. Today or tomorrow, I will test it on my backup C which has an AMD 7600X and a 3080, but this is ridiculous. Something is off with this latest patch.
