So Everytime I try to get into the game I either crashs before the loading screen or after I try to make my rook. Is anyone else having that issue. Everything is up-to-date on my end so i don't know whats going wrong.
At this point idgaf im taking my money back because its obviously the Game creators fault and not listenting to people.
This may not help you but I will share my story. After crashing since patch 2:
My system has now been stable for 2 days with ZERO game crashes or even artifacts, while playing on ULTRA.. I don't know what exactly fixed it but here are the 3 things I changed.
NVIDIA Control Panel Set Shadow Cache to 100GB.
Update BIOS on my MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI mother board.
Just downloaded Veilguard last night and it's crashed on the initial loading screen every single time. PS5 is used but brand new to us, so it was already factory reset. Game and console software are up to date. Have tried restarting, reinstalling, rebuilding, logging out/in, booting offline, nothing has worked. Super bummed. EA, please fix this!! It's obviously an issue a lot of users are having!
I wasn't crashing before, but now I am with Patch 3. It happens with I try to start Emmerich's companion quest in the Necropolis, and when I try to start the Hossberg Wetlands main story line, meaning, I cannot play the game past a certain point in the main storyline! EA_Illium please help!
I used to be able to delete the shader_cache folder and it would work for a few hours. Doesn't work anymore. Game crashes when verifying shaders on launch, and deleting the folder prevents launch entirely.
I advise turning off the hair strand feature under graphics. My computer is 7 years old and I can run the game on ultra without problems if that setting is turned off. When I have it on, it encourages the game to freeze and the GPU to crash. Hopefully there will be a fix eventually, but that's how I solved the issue for me.
**SOLUTION for people with 13th or 14th gen Intel Processors**
While obviously I can't promise that this will work for you, after getting 2-4 CTD every hour for the last days since the patch, this is the ONLY thing that has worked, and it hasn't crashed since.
Update your bios. Especially if you have an Asus board. If you use the MyAsus app (Armoury Crate works too but its one of the worst softwares in existence) you can see your current firmware version. If you have anything older than I believe it was like 16, you need to get the newest. I updated to version 1805 and haven't experienced a crash since. It specifically even states in the BIOs updates that they added support for the newest gen Intel processors, so there's a good chance it will help fix other errors you might experience on your PC, too. Just go to System update, and download the driver there. Then use the renamer, then Run the .CAP file. You can either load it onto a USB, or depending on how new your board is, you can access your folders directly in the EZ Flash utility in your BIOs. Just hit F3 when you start it and you should be able to go from there. I assume its similar for other boards, but I have Asus so its the only one I know step by step how to do.
It might seem like a pain, but its 15 min of work that will fix the stability of your PC and -probably- fix all your crashing on DA.
Yes. It's happening on Xbox Series X/PS5 too. There have been no updates from Bioware/EA on an ETA on the fix or even acknowledging they are aware of the issue.
I've spoken to multiple people across multiple forums and nobody has gotten any feedback that they are aware of the issue.
I've made multiple threads, tagged the community manager, messaged them, and spoke with customer service and have had no progress.
Not sure really what to do; it's super **bleep** that there's people that still can't even play the game at all and there's no idea of when they'd be able to play again.
i have the same problem i waited a long time for this and was so happy when it come out i upgraded my pc so i could play and now they have issues not fair
