Xbox Controller PC

So I've been trying to play with my Xbox Controller via bluetooth on steam. With steam input off it doesn't work, tried it with my PS5 controller with the input off only works with DSX or DS4 but then has that weird input bug with the Settings menus where it keeps asking to reset to default while using R1 or L1. Tried the Xbox Controller again with steam input on which works fine but has that bug or input issue where my character keeps moving without touching the controls. I've looked through all the troubleshooting on here plus Reddit/Steam and I only have my M+KB plugged in and everything else is updated etc. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing that or have any solutions or insight, would be greatly appreciated thank you.
