Stop spamming about EA Desktop app😞

So after 6 months, expired BF2042 beta is still here and support can't delete it.

@EA What the point to let an expired beta/demo in games collection ?

I hope the forum gets a little attention at least, and your post is quite comprehensive! Just as a regular user I think I should be able to download and install a game, or uninstall a game without an issue in a launcher because that is quite basic functionality. I just tried to do that and sat there for 10 min while the game was "preparing" an update before I was able to hit cancel. Unfortunately the beta app is missing some of the basics.

The "uninstall" button exists, but it's hard to find. If they are adding parental safety features, then parents who are not 100% techy should be able to figure it out and regular people are going to struggle a bit. It's become like MacOS, too basic and it's hard to find settings or make simple changes. The app feels over-modernized with some weird layout choices that make basic navigation doable at best, but most times just plain confusing. So navigation and layout changes are what I hope to see! 

In my opinion the software is unfinished and disfuctional in many ways

 Taking the advice of beta testers is a great idea as long as

you listen. EA is in the process of learning this is we speak.

I love EA games and have been with them for years

I just hope they remember there loyal customers are the ones that

matter. If you take away the ability for a gamer to do the things they

want. They will find a platform that more suits there needs.

While I admire your positive outlook, EA has not viewed any customer as anything other than a revenue stream. EA is probably the most corporate feeling and false fronted game company in existence right now. While many are probably just as corporate or even more than EA, they at least manage to develop platforms and systems that feel like they're made by people who play at least some games with the idea other people who play games are going to use them. On the flip-side, every EA platform and service has felt like a hollow shell developed by someone wearing a suit in a bland cubicle trying to think up and make things that they think people who play games like.

Loyal customers are nothing to EA other than income whales they can count on to keep their ship afloat when others end up ditching it. They do the absolute bare minimum to sate customer dissatisfaction and keep their ship seen in at least a semi-neutral light. They have never done anything that has actually pulled them into a positive view with the gaming community and every attempt to do so has come off as vapid, fake, and cringe.

While I was not a large fan of it, I admired Origin for being a very basic games platform. It did nothing great, but also nothing terrible. It was very much a jack of all trades, master of none. They could have made improvements to it and given players a reason to use it more, but instead they're deciding to start from scratch with a system that has little to nothing to offer over what its replacing and is developing at the a slower pace than Half-Life 3. They're basically going the Google route of "well if this try didn't work out I guess we have no option but to make a whole new thing to replace it and then eventually retire the old one" rather than trying to fix and improve what they already have.

EA does not care for us. Anything they say to tell you otherwise is fluff to make you feel heard, but nothing will come from your words and honestly EA probably thinks they're giving us more than we deserve just by letting us take up precious KB of space with our posts on this forum. I wouldn't be surprised if they were to shut it down tomorrow saying "No, no, its coming back. We're just going to revamp it so its better than before." Then next thing you know its been 8 years and no new official forums have propped up.

A CART - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

I know that this isn't only an issue with the Sims 4 games but that's where it's most prevalent for me. Every time The Sims 4 has a sale, I like to buy up games that I'm missing that I was really looking forward to. At times this can be 10 packs. My payment company will and has flagged my card/account for rapid small purchases being made individually from a single source. So here I am trying to give EA money and am being unable to because of their own oversight. 

One would think that an issue that is preventing players from giving them money would be a top priority or resolved - but nope.

I really hope they add one to the EA app before it's out of beta - dear god.

I really wish people would stop talking about this abomination, it should’ve gone into a dumpster fire five years ago and been nuked with a hydrogen warhead 

Hey everyone, I've been using the EA app for the past few days and I am certainly missing some options from Origins. I think we should be able to organize our games collections more. Some ideas:

- people with larger collections could use filters to look up a specific game

- resizing the game icons - currently I can't find one, so we need to be able to select smaller icons or have our game collection displayed as a list

- we need an option to add a game to Favorites, which should show the games on top of the page like Origin

- we also need options to hide certain games from view or remove them entirely, for example for betas who have expired months or years ago but still show up.

These are only a few suggestions I could think of right now, but I'd appreciate if they get implemented at some point.
