This * is so * annoying. Incredible that they've made it by design. How can someone be so stupid?
1. You cannot close the App as normal with the X or have an option to do so (id est THEY FORCE YOU to have it open, make it more annoying so you shouldnt bother)
2. They have it Pop-up everytime you exit a game - same thing here, they want to FORCE you to be in the app.
This is design is predatory garbage design, and it shouldn't be legal. It's the same as when developers create deliberate annoyances in certain game, to then sell the solution.

Screaming into the void here, mate. It's on purpose, forcing you back to their storefront. The only people watching this forum aren't going to forward anything that is said here. This is the Sarlacc Pit of the internet. They've already tried to close this thread twice and we keep reviving it. And it is worse than you think, you have to open the command prompt to kill all the junk EA runs in the background that you can't close any other way. This whole thing runs like a piece of Malware.

@7thMuseOkay so here's a workaround, it's not perfect as EA App still gets opened and you have to alt tab to switch the focus from it, but it will stop the app from showing up, completely. Create a new desktop via Win+Tab key combination, then open EA App and move the window to the secondary desktop. Switch back to your primary, done. Just tested this and technically it stays open on the secondary desktop so it stops popping up every damn time you launch or quit EA game. The app can not force switch between desktops thankfully. Whenever i'm done playing NFS i'm deleting this PoS from my system.
P.S. another thing is that after quitting the app reappears on your primary desktop so you have to move it every time, i'm yet to find a solution for that.
Method #2 is to drag the app all the way down/left/right to the edge and move the window behind screen's borders. As with the workaround #1 it'll still pop up and steal focus but at least the window's going to be smol and only show its edge from the bottom/left/right. It's way better if you've got secondary monitor, way less distracting.

This "feature" is wanting me to quit playing. I'm trying to figure out which mod is causing infinite load on a game. So every time I exit I get the bloody app opening to try and sell me something. Sorry EA, you are not making me interested in The Sims by forcing me to close the app every time I exit a game - you are just making me want to play a game that doesn't require your app. 😒😬😭
