EA App Closing Game

I’m going to post this to as many forums as I can as I can’t get into contact with any live support person at EA. Their chat bot just runs me in circles and sends me to unrelated forums. I’ll start by saying I only play the sims and have never had this issue before. I have had my game crash but that’s always followed up by some kind of report function to report the crash. That’s not what’s happening before some EA person tries to tell me otherwise. My game has always run fine and usually if it does crash it’s from an out of date mod I have. But that’s not the case now. I have taken out every mod. My computer can run the Sims 4 no problem even with mods but without mods it always performs much better. Maybe an hour into me playing the game, the game closes. Not crashes (I feel like I have to keep stating this so people understand.) It has only started happening the last few weeks. And I’m sure it’s the app causing this. It’s fully up to date as I check for an update every time I turn my computer on. Nothing happens in game that leads me to believe it’s a crash. The app just randomly closes my game. It’s annoying. EA has gone so far downhill that they can’t even bother to pay people to help with issues like this. Instead they have an AI bot that asks what the issue is, what your email is, and what platform you’re playing on and then will send you to a random forum (it sends me to a different forum every time I’ve tried.) Then when I ask for a live agent, it just asks the same questions again even though I’ve already answered them right before. I’ve tried this logged in and logged out of my account. I’ve tried on an incognito website. The point is that EA is cheap even though they’re going to make $500 BILLION dollars. They can’t even afford live support agents. This is absurd and at this point, I want a FULL refund of my Sims game and ALL expansion packs since I can’t play it without it closing on me. I can’t even get real help from a real person. Just a chat bot that’s taking all MY drinking water and giving money to billionaires.

    Sorry to hear that you've been receiving pushback from the NextStep bot. It can definitely be a frustrating experience when you're being sent in circles, so feel free to try contacting live support via this web form instead. Once you're redirected to the self-service page, there should be an option to chat with us depending on the issue you select.

    Regarding the EA App closing your game, does it happen with your mods removed too? Once the game closes, is the EA App still active, or does it shut down as well?

    Yes i have removed all mods. I turned off the wifi on my computer and that seems to fix it. Obviously I would like to play online. I’ll try this and see if it works but it seems to be the app and not the game itself. Never had this happen with Origin and even a few months ago, it would crash the game and give me a report. This is just it closing my game randomly and I’m sure it has something to do with the fact that randomly throughout my use of the computer in general, the ea app randomly pops up even when I have it fully closed out of the application. Also I use a new gen Mac. So I know it’s not my computer not being able to handle the sims.
