    And jost so you know EA managers and developers, I am not going to install and use your trash EA App that takes 30 seconds to launch a game, where I can't disable cloud sync, can't invite or join friends' games, and which needs a DRM service running in the background.

    You got my money for games, but that's the last you are ever going to get.

    I am not going to succumb to the sunk cost fallacy and take any more of your bullying with crappy software.

    If that means I can't play the games I paid for anymore then so be it, and I sincerely hope people will leave your platform in droves and you'll have to eat that humble pie in the end, apologize for unleashing this horror app, and fix it before forcing us to switch.

I think that Join / invite will never be implemented.

They want you to use overlay so they can later show (shove?) ads through it.

The EA Desktop app is already communicating with google analytics, newrelic, go-mpulse and nr-data, and make no mistake -- your EA account ID is already linked to those advertisers who are probably able to track all your game playing and purchasing habits.

Also you forgot:

7. No ability to disable telemetry and advertising trackers
8. No ability to disable cloud sync per game or globally
9. DRM service needs to run in background for the app to work
10. Still much slower to open and launch games compared to Origin

Well, then we who play Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age Inquisition are * out of luck, as the overlay does not work in those titles, and likely never will. Very scummy way of forcing more ads down our throats.

This basic functionality should not be omitted by any circumstance, whether it is for marketing reasons or otherwise. It just shows that EA is incapable of making a good gaming client.
