For anyone, like me, looking to re-install Origin: I haven't been able to find it anywhere (safe) online. It's no longer on Softonic, as far as I can tell. I was able to find my setup download from back when I first purchased my computer (bad digital housekeeping for the win!) and Origin is now installing the DLC that the EA app would not even acknowledge I own.

As an EA Play Pro member who spends a decent amount of money with EA, please shelve EA Desktop until the features and functionality match that of Origin. This app is not an improvement at the current stage it is in.- THE_Crazy_Hyena3 years agoSeasoned Scout
I agree here. I have used Origin for 11 years, and never had any real issues with it.
Like you said, shelve EA App until the feature level is on par with Origin, as someone who is playing a lot of older multiplayers (DAI and ME3), not being able to invite/join from the friends list is a huge step backwards.
My solution: Do not force the EA App on people until it is truly ready. As of now, it feels like it is a bootable alpha (or beta build in the best case)
Here's my issues so far:
1. Not being able to join or invite people through the friends list - MAJOR LETDOWN.
2. Multiple in-game issues related to "Origin not being present"
3. In-game overlay does not work at all
4. Friends list is bugged (does not show all my friends)
- 3 years ago@THE_Crazy_Hyena These non existing features or bugs has been reported since the start the " Beta " of the App, EA could just rename it to EA CrApp instead...

Why did you even bother posting this as late as Monday?
As you are being forced to download the EA CrApp when you launch Origin, role back Origin, EA App is not near finished just have a look at all the issues folks have been posting lately and all the posts even before that.
I was an early adopter for the app but gave up when there where no feedback on our feedback, there was no discussions what so ever, many features are still missing and i cant even tell the installer where i want to install the client it self.
i cant choose multiple hard drive locations to spread out the games over my many ssds but will force me to buy one new big one or start uninstalling games.
This is so not thought thru and EA Games have once again proven themself that they are too large for this business and for them self!
