I want to transfer my games to my backup account

So because EA used to sell its games only in Origin, I had to buy them there (Battlefield, NFS, Crysis, Dead Space series). But when they returned to Steam, I bought them again in Steam.

So my question is: can EA transfer my selected games from my main EA account to my backup account, so I could finally link my Steam account to EA's so my games from Steam won't dissolve in EA App account?

    Hey eldelincuente1

Just to clarify, if you've been accumulating progress using Account A and decided to merge Account A into Account B, while you would still have access to the games from both accounts, your Account A progress will stay with Account A, and you'd be accessing the game with Account B. In other words, when you merge two accounts together, you're effectively moving your entitlements from one account to another, but the two accounts are still separate entities, and so progress stays in the account it was accumulated using.

With that in mind, Steam isn't where progress is stored; whichever EA account it's linked to is what it'll tap into to access and save progress and data. So if you link Steam to your main EA account, and that EA account is what you've been accumulating progress with, your Steam account would be tapping into the data stored there.

Let us know if you'd like any additional clarification, as this topic can get a bit confusing, and you want to be sure before linking to avoid needing to unlink and facing the risks that come with that action

    Hey eldelincuente1

If you're hoping to move the games on one EA account to another, you can do so by contacting our live support team for help merging your accounts. Please note that progress is stored at the EA account level and won't be transferred over through the merge, along with a few other restrictions that may apply. In other words, while you may be able to access the games on your backup EA account after the merge, your progress will be reset.

Let us know how it goes, thanks!

Copy pasting your articles doesn't help me. I know that already.
"progress is stored at the EA account level and won't be transferred over through the merge". Will that progress I made on my main ea app account apply to my EA games linked from Steam?
Also I was told, that after the merge, my main account will get disabled and that might delete all my progress altogether. Is it true?

That's the part no one is explaining. When I link my Steam to my main EA account and launch Battlefield from Steam, will my progress made on main EA account apply to that game copy?
