I know you're a community manager who isn't in charge of changing/fixing the application, but you have to see this has been messed up for a long time. It also seems to have no priority with the team launching the app's updates yet so many people are relying on what (I would imagine with my nonspecific coding knowledge) is a relatively easy fix. This issue isn't even listed in the "Known Issues" section of the Trello board. I see no reason why 1 person on that team can't take maybe 10 seconds out of their day to update that Trello board to at least show this issue has reached their attention.
On top of that. Some people do find that it is a critical feature. It may not have been your intended tone, but all you've done is show us that this issue isn't even a priority to you, and I would even guess that you have "passed this on" to the EA app team as something low priority which continues to help no one. I don't know what kind of disconnect there is between you and whatever ticket center the developers use but it needs to be fixed along with this issue already.

Just to get a clear picture here; you need to make use of Advanced Launch Options in order to play the games, on your system, via the EA app? And why is that exactly? Does your system not meet the minimum / recommended system requirements otherwise in order to run said game?
I see some comments about a specific resolution?

As people illustrated, Launch Options are used to modify a game's behavior for settings that are not necessarily exposed in the game options. To build a case for the development team, just compile a list from the replies on this topic. A variety of games/features are mentioned, from sims and dragon age to APEX
My current use case is for burnout paradise remastered, where it completely refuses to launch on windows 10 no matter what I try, and I can get it to run on my steam deck running ArchLinux up until the intro video that gets stuck on a black screen with a mouse cursor, which is a known issue with a known solution (using the '-skipvideos' launch option)
You will find that Launch Options are mandatory for running older games on modern hardware, as well as modifying a game's behavior for non-standard setups like the resolutions previously mentioned by other users.
Note: regardless of the state of Launch Options, please note that games bought through steam are unable to set Launch Options at all, and instead display a "managed by steam" non-clickable item in place of the game options inside of the EA Desktop App.
The compiled list of replies on this topic would provide a solid case as to why Launch Options are needed.

Regarding the Steam Deck you mentioned; we, unfortunately, can't do much to help you get the game running on officially unsupported hardware, other than collecting and passing on the feedback that players would like to play the said game on the Steam Deck. If a player manages, or has managed, to play a game on official unsupported hardware via certain 'advanced launch options' in Origin, this still cannot be seen as a reason for the EA app having to work with that advanced launch option as well, as the game was never specifically developed to run on that platform to begin with.
Regarding the issue with Burnout™ Paradise Remastered not wanting to run on Windows 10; this is, or rather should be, a different topic and potentially requires troubleshooting. The best place for that would be on the Other NFS Games board.
That being said; this doesn't mean that the feedback is invalid, quite the opposite actually. Hence why I would like to collect some examples of Advanced Launch Options players would like to see becoming available for games that are being played via the EA app.
However, because the advanced launch options are only there as an 'extra feature', and should not be needed for a game to run as intended on their predetermined Minimum/Recommended Requirements platforms, it is not something that can be seen as something that should be needed in order to run said game. Hence why I would assume that this feature has a lower priority than other, actual, issues.
As mentioned previously in this thread; the EA app teams are aware of the feedback regarding the advanced launch options.
Regarding the games bought through Steam & EA app Advanced Launch Options; could you share a screenshot(s) of that by any chance?
