I used this option to enable command console on older games like dragon age origins, 2 and etc. and would love see advance launch options added to EA play app from origins.

See, that's exactly why I was reluctant to mention Linux or SteamDeck. It's so easy to slap the "yeah, actually, your platform is not supported" badge on the issue and keep it at that. Did I, at any point in time, ask for SteamDeck or Linux support?
All I said was that you had a feature in the Origin Launcher, this feature was working amazingly for a sizable number of people, and then you decided to kill it by retiring Origin in favor of EA Desktop without the latter reaching feature parity.
Imagine I'm running my games on a Bread9000 toaster, and I'm savvy enough to get all my games running using a feature that is in fact standard across all vendors, the ability to launch games with Launch Options (EGS, Steam, GOG Galaxy, and even Ubisoft Connect support this feature). Now let's imagine that you suddenly killed this standard feature without providing an alternative. Would my use of a toaster suddenly validate killing this standard feature? What if I said that I was using windows instead? After all, I'm not asking for toaster support, I'm reporting a standard broken feature.
I'm a dev, so I understand the idea of prioritizing features. What I don't appreciate is invalidating people's feedback and then slapping a "That being said, this does not mean that your feedback is invalid". I can easily find reasons not to bump this feature in every single reply on this topic by saying something like "non-standard resolutions are not supported" or even "adjusting game options that are not directly available within the game is not supported", but then what?
As for the lack of Launch Options for games bought through steam, please check the attached screenshot, taken on a system running Windows 10.

I am not exactly sure why you think that we are invalidating people's feedback.
It's the reason why I specifically posted that people's feedback is not invalid. As long as it is constructive (and even if it isn't 100%), feedback is always valid (as stated in our AHQ guidelines)
The EA app is not a direct copy of Origin. Therefore it is to be expected that some, maybe less frequently used(?), features that Origin had are not, fully, present in the EA app (yet?). The same thing counts for the Gifting feature, for example.
Because the teams are always looking for feedback to improve the EA app, I specifically asked for certain commands that people would like to use in the EA app for the Advanced Launch Options.
You would like commands people need? Any command featuring a file path. I (try to) access Battlefront 2 that was bought through epic and cannot reference the data path command because the EA App will not allow the simple file path characters ( ":" and "\"). I imagine there is a host of other issues using those characters but fortunately for me I do not purchase many EA titles.

But you seem to have retired the Origin client. every time the EA App updates, it uninstalls Origin. Then because a basic feature does not work I have to reinstall Origin only for it to get removed on the next update, and as all the settings seems to get wiped out then it all needs configuring again and again and again.

I think what people would like to be able to is use Advanced options and set exactly the same options on their games, except most commands seem to start with + which says it not allowed... also they seem to end 0 or 1 which again seems to be disallowed. AKA
+set developer 1 +set thereisnomonkey 1 +set cheats 1 +set ui_console 1
Normally the command +mat_sun_color "0 0 0" worked in Titanfall 2 on Origin, now when inputting the command it just says "The commands you entered contain an invalid character", I use this command due to excessive brightness on some maps hurting my eyes and now I cannot adjust it. Will there be a fix for this command soon? Thank you!

@Scooooobydoedoe, unfortunately, the EA app doesn't support all Advanced Launch Command line Options as Origin did.
With EA expect 'MVP', and it is not most valued player, despite all their sports titles. Minimum Viable Product So naturally, any features you were accustomed to, or expected, from an earlier application (or from all the competitors) do not expect it to be here.
