As described, how could i change the Battlefield 2042 ingame language (from german to english) in EA Play? In Origin, there is a setting in the preferences for it, but i didn't saw any kind of option in the EA Play launcher.

Kinda bad solution jason. You can just install origin and start it instead of ea play, change the language settings in the "settings" menu of the game at origin & swap back to ea play (client). I would advice to implement that function into the ea play client also otherwise its a step back.

Hi @deSCYREd,

To change the language of a game (when you can't change it through the in-game settings) you will have to uninstall the game and download it again.

A pop-up will appear where you can set the language for the installation.

Agreed, reinstalling the game isn't the best solution, but it's the only solution I have available at this point.

That being said, the workaround using Origin that you mentioned is much better.I have passed on the feedback that the community would like to see this function in the EA app.

Hi,
You need to use Origin and follow those steps:
In your game library choose BF2042
Click on "game properties"
Then "advanced launch options" (cf screen)
And choose the desired game language
Wait for the download of the necessary files then you'll be good to go.

Hey, thanks for that. Wouldn't want to stay another few hours reinstalling a game I just finished downloading. Kinda of a joke that the EA APP still don't have simple options like that, and now they're ending Origin for the APP.
For anyone that started the game because it came to EA Play and has to use the app, download origin, log in with the same account, and follow DarkXplay's steps. The game will check files, and then download the language pack you've selected.

4 I don't know where you come from in Germany. For example, I am a Taiwanese in China, so my iso code is zh_tw
If you use German so change Locale to de_DE，You can check the isocode of your language region on goggle

@deSCYREd Hi, since i couldn't find a way to download Origin from a official site, i did this:

Step 1:
Change Language in EA App

Step 2:
win+r -> regedit -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> EA GAMES -> Battlefield 2042

change the Value of Locale to en_US

Step 3:

head back to the EA App -> Battlefield 2042 -> ... -> Repair

I hate it when they just change the Launcher and clearly did only think about looks and not funcionality. My Game was in German and the voicelines are incredibly cringe.
